Thieves smash CCTV alarms to steal cars from a home in Romiley

BMW and Vauxhall worth a combined £33,000 taken from outside a house in Romiley

Thieves smashed up security measures including CCTV to steal more than £30,000 of cars from a Stockport home.

The raid took place at a house on Barrack Hill, Romiley , some time between Saturday at 4pm and Sunday at 5.30pm.

Burglars smashed open a patio door at the back of the home as well as the CCTV and alarm boxes inside and out.

They then took keys to a £25,000 BMW 135 and a Vauxhall Corsa worth £8,000 before escaping in the cars. An X Box and games for it were also taken.
